At the end of October, the Council released a fact sheet on Ebola designed specifically for home care staff.  This fact sheet, available exclusively to Council members, was developed by Council staff and reviewed by our Standards Committee.

This resource summarizes basic information on Ebola gathered through advisories available through the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), and the Boston Public Health Commission.  Council members who would like to request an additional copy of this resource can send an email to jjen@hcacouncil.org.

The Ebola situation is rapidly changing, and CDC guidance is updated as additional information becomes available. The most recent CDC guidance can be found at: http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/index.html?s_cid=cdc_homepage_feature_001

More fact sheets about Ebola can be also found on the DPH website at: http://www.mass.gov/eohhs/gov/departments/dph/programs/emergency-prep/threats/biological/ebola-virus.htmlwww.bphc.org/Ebola

Resources are also available on the Boston Public Health Commission site at: www.bphc.org/Ebola
